St. Didymus Church for the Blind is a welcoming, inclusive spiritual community dedicated to serving individuals who are blind or have low vision. We are also a place of belonging for seniors, recognizing that older adults often face unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs that traditional churches may overlook. At St. Didymus, seniors find not only fellowship, but intentional support, respect, and opportunities to fully participate in worship and community life. We welcome all faiths and beliefs, offering a nurturing space where members can explore their spiritual journey, serve their community, and find spiritual fulfillment.
Our church is more than a, place of worship; it’s a community where individuals with visual impairments can actively participate in decision-making, leadership, and service. Seniors—whether blind, low vision, or fully sighted—are embraced as essential voices within our congregation and are encouraged to share their wisdom, life experiences, and gifts.

Our Mission
To empower and uplift the blind and low vision community through faith, fellowship, and service. We celebrate the unique gifts of each member, including those who serve as ministers, musicians, and leaders—many of whom are blind themselves—demonstrating that spiritual leadership knows no visual limitation. Our mission also includes honoring and supporting seniors, ensuring they have a consistent spiritual home where accessibility, patience, and community understanding are prioritized.
